About The Role

Here at Middlesbrough Football Club we are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our Ticket Office team at the Riverside Stadium. As a key point of contact for our supporters, you will play an important role in delivering a professional service, helping fans with tickets, season cards and coach travel, while providing an outstanding customer experience every step of the way.

Whether assisting supporters face-to-face, over the phone or via email, you will be at the heart of Middlesbrough Football Club's ticketing operation, helping to connect our supporters with the Club they love. Every interaction will play an important role in reflecting the high standards and values of Middlesbrough Football Club.

We have a number of opportunities available within our Ticket Office team, including one permanent full-time role and several casual positions. These roles will involve working First Team home fixtures, including evening matches, as well as additional non-matchday shifts where required. Casual colleagues must also be available to work weekday shifts between 9.00am and 5.00pm to support busy ticketing periods and sales campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to supporters across multiple communication channels.
  • Supporting sales of products including tickets, season cards and coach travel.
  • Accurately process payments and maintain financial records.
  • Support Ticket Office administration and after-sales enquiries and service.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Assist with cash handling, reconciliation, and banking procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external clubs to support successful ticketing operations.
 

About The Candidate

Essential

Previous experience in a customer service or customer-facing role.

GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent qualifications.

Experience handling cash and processing card payments accurately.

Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing information and transactions.

Flexible approach to work, including the ability to respond to changing business needs during busy periods.

Desirable

Experience working within a ticketing, retail, sales, hospitality, leisure, or sports environment.

Experience handling customer queries and resolving complaints.

Experience carrying out administrative duties within a busy office environment.

Knowledge of sporting ticketing systems
