About The Role

Middlesbrough Football Club is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Concourse Chefs to join our matchday catering team at the Riverside Stadium. As a concourse chef you will be responsible for a small team of food production staff. Working within our busy public catering operation, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality food to our customers on matchdays and event days.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong food preparation skills, high standards of food hygiene and a passion for delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced stadium environment. Successful candidates will be confident working independently, while also working effectively as part of a team to ensure a smooth and successful matchday operation.

What you will be doing

  • Managing, motivate and inspire a small team of food production staff, providing direction and support to ensure excellent food quality, service standards and operational performance.
  • Leading and managing a small team within your designated concession area.
  • Coordinating the efficient operation of concession during busy matchday periods, makings sure service is at the highest standard.
  • Preparing and cooking food for supporters across the stadium concourse catering operation.
  • Ensuring food is produced to agreed quality & presentation standards
  • Monitoring stock levels and maintaining food production throughout service periods.
  • Assisting with the training and development of team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, food safety and health and safety requirements.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation across your work area.

About The Candidate

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience working as a Chef, Cook or Catering Team Leader.
  • A good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • The ability to lead and motivate and develop a small team.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective during busy service periods.
  • A proactive and reliable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role is a Match Day role you need to be available to work evenings, weekends to cover home fixtures, cup games and events where required.
