Reports to: Head of Integrated Performance
Renumeration: £125 per day + holiday pay
Hours of work: 2 days per week (15 hour total)
Job Purpose
To lead and reflect on the strategic approach of providing nutritional support for all academy age groups / parents. Reflect and adjust the curriculum and methods along the age groups to fit the needs of the academy programme
Key Duties
- As per the club process ensure we have all objective data collected (heights / weights, girths, skinfolds, DEXA) at timely intervals with appropriate feedback to key stakeholders (PDP Players).
- As per the individual development programme (IDP), ensure individual objective information is collected for relevant players based on individual plan (PDP Players).
- With collaboration amongst the schoolboy performance team, ensure heights / weights is done for all schoolboy age groups (9-16’s).
- Ensure all ‘priority’ player across the PDP have a minimum touchpoint every 2 weeks to assess progress and update individual plans
- Provide individual support via the referral scheme put in place for schoolboy programme
- Be a part of the process of reflecting, and evolving the academy nutrition curriculum, which provides the underpinning content of what is delivered at each stage.
- Deliver parent engagement workshops at the TSG on key educational topics related to each stage of the U9-16’s programme.
- Deliver key educational sessions / workshops to both U18 / Dev Team on key performance related topics related to the curriculum.
- Provide key educational resources on TW’s to all ages of the academy & parents to reinforce key messages (including bespoke education around tours etc.)
- Provide a contact and education for all host families with regular monitoring of the quality of nutrition provided.
- Liaise with key age group performance staff, and the performance chef to ensure for all game day scenarios our club nutrition provision is of the highest level.
- Liaise with key performance personnel to ensure both group supplementation and individual needs are provided within our PDP phase (based on individual blood tests)
- To ensure anything with fuelling / recovery / operational processes around intake are implemented and monitored to ensure there are no gaps in the day to day service.
- To have or develop an impeccable knowledge of safeguarding best practice to include a deep understanding of safeguarding children’s regulations, including legislation & governing body rules.
- To ensure that any safeguarding or welfare concerns are reporting efficiently.
- To comply with all company policies/procedures and adhere to all company regulations regarding policies, procedures, health, safety, and security.
