About The Role

Part-Time Academy Coach Wanted!

Are you passionate about coaching and developing young talent? We’re looking for a motivated Part-Time Academy Coach to join our team and help shape the future stars of tomorrow!

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead engaging, skill-focused training sessions for young players.

Assess player performance, offering constructive feedback to promote growth.

Foster a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that motivates young players.

Collaborate with fellow coaches to align with the academy’s coaching philosophy.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous coaching experience.

Relevant coaching certification (UEFA B or working towards).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to inspire and motivate young players.

 Job specification

  • Is highly knowledgeable and is fluent in coaching the technical and tactical Academy Principles of play in the small-sided games format including 5v5, 7v7 and 9v9 & 11v11 (phase dependant).
  • Support development of Academy Players.
  • To be available for all internal CPD and keep relevant FA qualifications up to date.
  • A genuine team player.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Factors the Academy coach into sessions/game day plan clearly defining roles and responsibilities on the session plan/game plan document.
  • To enter all coaching sessions, game fixtures/game time, game plan reports, learning objectives and development reports and other necessary work as required on Kitman Labs.
  • Monitor players and report their progress on a regular basis, completing the relevant reports.
  • To be available for all internal CPD and keep relevant FA qualifications up to date. To demonstrate the ability to motivate players & Academy coaches.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring a high quality of work.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Liaises with Parents/Guardians and resolves any issues empathetically.
  • Proactive decision maker.
  • Such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post and to assist the Lead Phase Coach and Academy Head of Coaching.
  • Expected to attend ALL age group sessions/matchdays except in exceptional circumstances.
  • Confirms attendance from every training session and match on ’Spond’.

 

Rates of pay

Training: £35 per session.

Game day rate: As per Band illustration.    

 Hours: Monday evening 5.30-7.00pm, Tuesday evening 5.30 – 7.00pm, Friday 7.30-9.00pm.

Sunday game day approximately 4 hours (fixture dependant)
