Part Time Academy Therapist
About The Role
To co-ordinate and deliver therapy services for all players in both football education and academy.
To co-ordinate and provide emergency match day cover for all U9
–
16 academy games and assist other age groups when needed.
To accompany players to medical appointments, providing clinical handovers pre and post appointments.
To assist the Academy Head of Medicine in co-ordinating screening for academy players.
To take an active role in medical, MDT and planning meetings
To plan and develop effective pre and rehabilitation programmes for players based on screening outcomes in line with the most up to date academic and clinical evidence across all age groups.
To monitor the effectiveness of injury management principles through clinical injury audits.
To ensure effective, appropriate communication of injury updates are provided to player, coaches and the wider MDT.
To maintain a flexible approach to work at all times including the requirement to undertake other duties and responsibilities as required.
To ensure all medical notes are up to date within 24 hours of treatment and in line with CSP standards.
Manage and build relationships with all key stakeholders in line with the clubs values
Maintain professional conduct at all times
Ensure cohesion, conflict resolution and support management of individual players.
Set, monitor and develop high quality professional standard and team ethic for the players
Compliance with club policies
Compliance with the club’s health and safety procedures
Compliance with the club’s safeguarding policies
Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected
About The Candidate
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to use a variety of communication tools (verbal, written, digital)
Strong organisational and administrative skills
IT skills to include the ability to use performance analysis software and Microsoft office
Qualified therapist with appropriate governing body registration (HCPC/CSP/ BASRAT/MSST)
Reliable and committed to working flexible hours.
ITMMIF qualification

Team player who can work well within an MDT of football coaches, sports scientists, nutritionists, and other medical practitioners.
Strong organisational and administrative skills

Understanding of current clinical guidelines and relevant legislation.
