About The Role

Walsall FC is seeking a creative and driven Media & Content Executive to play a leading role in telling the Club's story across our digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow the Club's content output, creating engaging video, photography and multimedia content. 

Working closely with the Media & Communications Manager, you will lead the creation and delivery of high-quality content across social media, YouTube and Saddlers+, while supporting all areas of the Club. From matchday coverage and player interviews to behind-the-scenes features and partner activations, you will be responsible for producing compelling, on-brand content that connects supporters with Walsall FC and enhances the Club's digital presence. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 
  • Plan, film, edit and publish high-quality video and photography across the Club's digital channels, including social media, YouTube and Saddlers+.
  • Create engaging short-form and long-form content designed to grow audiences and strengthen supporter engagement.
  • Lead the management, development and day-to-day operation of Saddlers+, ensuring the platform continues to deliver value for subscribers.
  • Drive digital revenue through YouTube and TikTok monetisation, optimising content performance and advertising opportunities.
  • Support live matchday coverage through video production, photography and reactive content creation.
  • Conduct interviews with players, coaching staff and club personnel for both video and written content.
  • Capture high-quality content at training sessions, community programmes, club events and commercial activations.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Team to deliver sponsor-led content that enhances partner value.
  • Identify new creative opportunities to maximise reach, engagement and audience growth.
  • Create graphics and digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Maintain an organised archive of media assets, footage and photography.
  • Mentor and support media students and volunteers, ensuring high standards and professional development.
  • Attend all First Team fixtures, both home and away, plus selected Women's and Academy fixtures as required.

About The Candidate

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in videography, video editing and photography.
  • Strong understanding of digital storytelling and content creation.
  • Ability to plan, shoot and edit high-quality content for multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:
    • Premiere Pro
    • After Effects
    • Photoshop
    • Lightroom
  • Experience producing multimedia content in a live or event-based environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong initiative and accountability.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of live streaming and broadcast technology.
  • Experience creating motion graphics and stadium visuals.
  • Previous experience working within sport, football or a similar fast-paced media environment.
