Purpose:
To be responsible for all elements of the Goalkeeper development within the Women’s Team.
Key Tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Open Age Women's Team, ensuring a positive and professional team culture. Liaise with the Head Coach and the Assistant Head Coach to align team goals with the club's overall strategy.
- Plan, organise, and deliver high-quality goalkeeper training sessions for first team players focusing on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game.
- Collaborate with the Club Analyst to support match analysis to optimise performance.
- Support youth
- Identify and nurture individual player talents, providing feedback and personalised development plans to enhance their skills and potential.
- Identify and implement short term, medium term and long term goals for all Goalkeepers of the Women’s team.
- Support the delivery and development of any future youth goalkeeper programs introduced within the Women’s pathway.
- Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques, sports science, and industry trends to continually improve coaching practices.
- Work closely with the Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach to ensure the continuous development of all goalkeepers registered with the Women’s Team.
- Evaluate coaching sessions, documenting achievement of learning objectives.
- Develop and maintain a positive learning environment to maximise each players learning potential.
- Ensure all goalkeeper coaching sessions are delivered in line with the Women’s Coaching Philosophy.
- Ensure appropriate playing opportunities for all goalkeepers including contracted and Trialist players.
