About The Role

Location:                    CCFC Academy – Alan Higgs Centre,Coventry

Contract:                    Permanent

Hours of work:           Full Time (including evening and weekend work)

                       

We have an exceptional opportunity to join our esteemed Academy at Coventry City Football Club as a Youth Development Phase Lead Coach.

Working closely with the Head of Coaching, the successful applicant will be responsible for the implementation,delivery and evaluation of the Academy syllabus for the Under 13 to Under 16 players, whilst acting as ‘cell lead’ for the Under 15 and Under 16 age groups.

Managing a team of part time coaching staff, the role will also oversee the individual development plans,weekly feedback reports and six weekly reviews for all Academy Youth Development Phase players.

The successful applicant will receive a personal staff development plan to support their own learning, have access to a range of formal CPD opportunities throughout the season and provided with support on their coaching from the club’s Academy Head of Coaching.

Required Qualifications

  • UEFA A Licence
  • FA Advanced Youth Award (Or Working Towards)
  • FA Youth Award
  • EFAIF First Aid Qualification
  • Experience working in the Youth Development Phase of Academy Football

Desirable

  • Experience of working full time in football
  • Held a Lead Phase role in a Category one to Category 3 EPPP Academy.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification related to teaching / coaching / development
