About The Role

Leyton Orient Football Club is looking for a Videographer to join its Media & Communications department. The successful candidate will produce high-quality long and short-form video content for the club’s website, app and social media channels across its men’s, academy and women’s teams, and wider commercial departments. The successful candidate must have a passion for video content, be creative, a strong storyteller, understand current trends and have a desire and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • To produce high-quality videos for the club’s website, app and social media channels
  • To attend all men’s first-team fixtures, and occasionally other club fixtures, and capture high-quality footage for a variety of purposes
  • To capture original footage at other events that include but are not limited to; community appearances and commercial activations
  • Edit original footage and historical footage in order to create video content 
  • To manage the video sections of the club website and official club app, ensuring that these areas are kept up to date and relevant 
  • To manage the club’s YouTube channel and identify areas for growth with content and playlist structure 
  • To manage the club’s TikTok account and identify areas for growth
  • To manage the club’s audio-visual equipment and ensure that content can be captured at short notice 
  • To contribute to all the club's social media platforms in line with its overall business objectives
  • To contribute to department meetings with fresh and engaging content ideas, with a particular focus on attracting new supporters to the club
  • To support the production of the club’s men’s first-team live streaming channel Orient Live
  • To maintain and add to the club’s growing video archive 
  • To use organisational skills to ensure that all weekly and longer-term deadlines are met 
  • To track department-wide key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate content performance
  • To identify opportunities for personal growth, learning and development
  • To adhere to all relevant approval processes before publishing content
  • To work in collaboration with internal stakeholders and managers
  • The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and will be expected to assist colleagues with other ad-hoc tasks from time to time

About The Candidate

Education/Qualifications/Training:
  •  Educated to degree level or equivalent in Journalism, Media/TV Production or similar, preferably with a focus on sport
  • Full driving licence is preferred
Specific Experience:
  •  Experience in working within a sports club media department
  • Experience of using the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Use of Adobe After Effects is preferable 
  • Experience of working at live events 
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge/Requirements:
  •  A passion for video and digital content
  • A strong understanding of English football and, particularly, EFL football
  • Excellent storytelling and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to develop and learn
  • Outgoing and confident in meeting people
  • Happy to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise accordingly
  • Ability to adhere to and carry out the club’s safeguarding best practices and procedures
