Bradford City AFC is seeking a Head of Academy Goalkeeping to lead the development of goalkeepers across the Academy’s three phases (U9–U18). The post‑holder will design, deliver and review a high‑quality, age‑appropriate goalkeeping programme aligned with the Academy philosophy, coaching curriculum and EPPP requirements. Working collaboratively with phase leads and multidisciplinary staff, the role ensures each goalkeeper receives appropriate challenge, holistic support and clear developmental feedback aligned to their Individual Learning Plan (ILP).

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional professional standards, strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding, welfare and player development. They will work effectively with Sports Science, Medical, Recruitment and Coaching staff, contribute to MDT processes, support player transitions and uphold the Academy’s values, culture and operational expectations.

About The Candidate

Qualifications

  • UEFA B Licence (Goalkeeping)

  • FA Safeguarding Children Certificate

  • Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience as a goalkeeper.

  • Previous experience coaching within a professional academy environment.
