About The Role

Reporting to the PDP Manager (U18 or U21) and working closely with the Head of Coaching and Academy Manager, the Assistant PDP Coach will support the planning, delivery and evaluation of an elite, multi-disciplinary player development programme for U18 and/or U21 players.
Assist in planning, delivering and evaluating coaching sessions in line with the Academy coaching and playing philosophy.
Support the delivery of the Academy games programme across U18 and U21 age groups.
Assist with the design, delivery and review of Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
Support pre-match preparation, matchday delivery and post-match reviews.
Contribute to multidisciplinary player reviews in accordance with EPPP requirements.
Assist in recording and updating player development information through Kitman Labs and other Academy systems.
Support the transition of players between YDP, U18, U21 and First Team environments.
Work collaboratively with Sports Science, Medical, Analysis, Psychology, Education and Player Care departments.
Support recruitment and talent identification activities where appropriate.
Ensure compliance with EPPP standards and Academy operating procedures.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Attend Academy meetings and CPD events.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

About The Candidate

Qualifications:
  • UEFA B Licence (Essential)
  • FA Advanced Youth Award or working towards (Essential)
  • FA Safeguarding Children (Essential)
  • FA Emergency First Aid in Football (Essential)
  • UEFA A Licence or working towards (Desirable)
  • Sports-related degree (Desirable)
Experience:
  • Experience coaching within an Academy environment.
  • Understanding of the Professional Development Phase.
  • Knowledge of EPPP standards and Academy structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Playing background/experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  •  Experience using Kitman Labs (Desirable).
