Qualifications essential to the role.
Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent recognised FE teaching qualification, or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe.
A degree or equivalent qualification in Sport, Coaching, Physical Education or a related discipline.
NGB Level 2 Football Coaching qualification or equivalent appropriate to competitive league delivery.
Five GCSE's at grade 4 or above.
Skills And Experience
Proven experience delivering Further Education programmes to 16 to 19 year olds, including planning, delivering and assessing accredited qualifications.
Experience in football coaching and supporting competitive fixtures within a structured league environment.
Ability to build effective relationships with schools, employers, college colleagues and parents to support recruitment and progression.
Ability to monitor learner performance, track progress and contribute to quality assurance processes.
Strong classroom management and pastoral capability, including tutorial delivery and learner intervention.
Knowledge
A strong working knowledge of the current Ofsted framework and expectations within Further Education.
A clear understanding of awarding body standards, assessment regulations and internal verification processes.
A strong working knowledge of safeguarding legislation, equality, diversity and inclusion practice appropriate to a youth education and sporting environment, including
Familiarity with the structure, expectations and conduct standards of the EFL Community and Education Football Alliance.
Knowledge of post 16 progression pathways including higher education, apprenticeships and employment routes.
Ability to motivate and inspire learners to achieve their full potential and deliver outstanding results
Knowledge of health and safety requirements across classroom, gym and football settings, ensuring learners are supported in safe learning and participation environment.
