About The Role

Doncaster Rovers Academy are looking to appoint a highly experienced coach analyst to drive the analysis department forward whilst supporting the lead phase coaches across the academy on the pitch to better align the connection between analysis and coaching to our game model. The successful candidate will need a UEFA B licence and MSc in Performance analysis

  • Support lead phase coaches and the head of player development to deliver live coaching insights during training sessions to inform session design and tactical adjustments.
  • Collaborate closely with the academy coaching staff to interpret performance data and translate it into actionable, on-field interventions.
  • Use video and statistical analysis to identify trends, strengths, and weaknesses in both the team’s and opposition’s performances.
  • Assist in planning and delivering opposition analysis presentations, ensuring tactical messaging is aligned with team strategy.
  • Support individual player development by providing feedback informed by both analysis and direct coaching observations and interventions
  • Work with the performance analysis team to ensure data capture and analysis tools are effectively used to support on-pitch decision-making.
  • Contribute to post-match reviews and training debriefs with tailored insights that relate directly to coaching outcomes.
  • Contribute to tracking U18 players on loan
  • Support the recruitment of future Doncaster Rovers academy players using analysis where appropriate
  • Contribute to the top talent programme by monitoring our highest potential players
  • Remain pitch-side during sessions to provide live coaching input and observational analysis in collaboration with the coaching staff
  • Coach an academy age group and coach across the academy age groups where required
  • Support the delivery of analysis provision across the FP and YDP programme
  • Active participation in continuing professional development and support the CPD provision in the academy for analyst volunteers and academy staff.
  • Act at all times with utmost good faith to the Club(s) and Company.
  • Devote full attention and ability to fulfilment of the duties required by the role.
  • To work closely with fellow staff, maintain good relationships, and collaborative working practices across the academy
  • To work with colleagues throughout Club Doncaster to extend knowledge and skills in order to identify and develop best practice.
  • To undertake other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job
  • To maintain the quality of service provision, regularly evaluating work and seeking to make improvements.
  • Present a professional image when dealing with both internal and external contacts and partners, acting in a professional manner at all times.
  • To cover, as and when required, any other departments within the Club Doncaster Group.

About The Candidate

Essential: 
 
  • UEFA B in coaching football
  • FA Youth Award 
  • MSc Performance Analysis (or equivalent)
  • FA Safeguarding Children
  • FA First Aid
