1. Job purpose:
|
To provide medical provision on behalf of Blackburn Rovers Academy under the direction of the Head of Sports Science and Medicine during matches and clinics.
|
|
2. Duties and responsibilities:
|
- To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all elite players, promoting their well-being needs whilst maintaining professional boundaries;
- To assist and liaise with all staff in the running of the medical department as required;
- To provide medical cover for games and training as required;
- To provide medical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Academy players as required;
- To assist in fitness testing and anthropometric testing of all Academy players;
- To maintain up to date medical records;
- To liaise with all stakeholders in the medical provision of all Academy players;
- To attend other relevant courses/workshops as required from time to time;
- To attend all meetings and in-service training relevant to your position as required;
- To maintain up to date qualifications; and
- To submit relevant paperwork on the required monthly deadline

- IT literate;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Good level of communication both written and verbal; and
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive data
|

4. Knowledge / Experience required:
|
- Safeguarding and welfare awareness; and
- Knowledge of working in an elite sporting environment.
