About The Role

Purpose of the post:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business and maximising commercial revenue across Club Doncaster’s assets, including sponsorship, partnerships, advertising, match day hospitality, and events. The role will focus on building strong relationships with businesses locally, regionally and nationally, securing new partnerships, and supporting retention and upsell opportunities.

The Sales Manager will play a key role in achieving ambitious commercial growth targets and ensuring the continued success of Club Doncaster.  
 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and target potential new sponsors, advertisers, clients and event partners.
  • Develop tailored sales proposals and presentations that showcase Club Doncaster’s assets and opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close commercial deals in line with departmental targets.
  • Sell sponsorship packages across Club Doncaster sites, including stadium naming rights, shirt sponsorships, digital inventory, community initiatives and player sponsorships.
  • Work closely with the Partnerships Manager and delivery team to ensure new partners are successfully onboarded.
  • Drive sales of match hospitality and seasonal packages. Work closely with DN4 Events on conference and events space.
  • Maximise use of facilities to generate new event-based revenue.
  • Support the Senior Head of Sales and Partnerships Manager in retention and renewal processes by contributing sales insight and upsell opportunities.
  • Ensure clear handover of new accounts to the partnerships team for activation.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts and reports using CRM systems.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets, KPIs and revenue growth objectives.
  • Report on the market trends, competitor activity and new opportunities.
  • Represent Club Doncaster at business events, networking opportunities, match days and events.
  • Build relationships with local, regional and national businesses to expand the Club’s commercial network.
