About The Role

Role Title: Youth Development Phase Coach, Part Time
Department: Academy
Reports to: Head of Coaching
Key Internal Relationships: Academy Manager, Head of Coaching, Academy Management Team, Lead Phase Coaches and Casual Coaches.

Role:

Walsall Football Club Academy is looking for a Part Time, Youth Development Phase Coach.

We are seeking passionate and committed Youth Development Phase Coach to support the delivery of our Academy Coaching Programme across relevant age groups in the Youth Development Phase U13-16. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a professional football development environment and play a key role in nurturing the next generation of talent.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Proven Youth Development coaching experience.
  • An ability to differentiate tasks based on ability and key stages of player/child development.
  • An approachable manner towards young people.
  • Willing to work flexible and unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Supporting the delivery of age specific syllabus to players in their charge.
  • Completing online and electronic reviewing and assessments of players and sessions on Intelligence Platform.
  • Communicating effectively with all team members and reporting back to the Lead Phase Coach.
  • Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of excellent coaching.
  • Complete all work / tasks to deadline in a timely manner.
  • All other duties that may be reasonably required to support the effective delivery of the Academy programme.
  • To set high standards of professionalism and demonstrate a high standard of conduct across ALL Academy and wider club activity.
  • Be aware of and follow the procedures for recording accidents.
  • Demonstrate the Academy & wider club values and behaviours at all times.
  • Any other duties as may be required by the Club from time to time.

    About The Candidate

    Person Specification:

    Qualifications & Experience:

    Essential:

    • UEFA B Licence
    • FA Youth Module 1, 2, 3
    • Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)
    • FA Safeguarding Children Certificate (must be in date)
    • Must successfully pass an FA Enhanced DBS check

    Desirable:

      • UEFA A Licence
      • FA Advanced Youth Award
