About The Role

Purpose:

Looking for Casual Coaches to build upon current and previous successes of developing young footballers into career athletes. Delivery of high-quality coaching in line with the Youth Development/ Foundation Phase syllabus to all players within their designated age group.

The Role & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver age specific Youth Development syllabus to players in their charge.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members and reporting back to the Youth Development Lead Coach.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent coaching.
  • Attend CPD events and Academy meetings as required.
  • Attending Academy fixtures and travel with the Academy Squads.
  • Design micro-cycle programmes in line with individual player needs, when working as a group and individually'.
  • Manage games in terms of tactical changes and player outcomes.
  • Understand the physical capacity of young athletes across schoolboy age groups and design practices and games which allow for maximising potential in this area'.
 

About The Candidate

What we're looking for:
  • Previous experience in a sports environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to differentiate tasks based on ability and key stages of player/child development.
  • Proven coaching experience within an elite framework.
  • IT literate, with the ability to use the full Microsoft Office package.
  • A record of build effective working relationships with players, staff and parents.
  • UEFA B LICENSE.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Assertive, calm with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to availability for assignments.
