About The Role

Job purpose:
 
To be responsible for the planning and delivery of the Individual Development programme for players in the Under 14s – Under 18 age groups – working across the technical, tactical, physical and mental corners, and liaising with the subject-matter leads in those different areas.

To create a challenging and supportive coaching / mentoring environment, focused on the Individual Development of the players in the Under 14s – Under 18 age groups.

To devise individual development plans for players within these age groups, through the ‘four corners’ approach, providing expert insight and analysis in respect to player development and the individual player’s needs.

Ensuring the programme is reflective of playing and coaching philosophies of the academy, as well as being supportive of the teams playing and strategic objectives. 
 
Salary:

  • This is a full-time position based at our training ground in New Malden, Kingston.
  • This role will require weekend and evening work in line with the Academy programme.

Personal characteristics and experience:
• Experience working within a EFL Academy.
• Experience in coaching the youth development and professional phase
• Can plan, deliver, and review sessions effectively and efficiently.
• Robust skills and knowledge of the long term development needs of high potential players
• Excellent people management skills.
• Confident, Resilient and Self Motivated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to positively influence.
• Excellent Presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target driven environment.
• Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
• Work using your own initiative and as part of a team.

 • UEFA B Outfield
Desirable Qualifications
• UEFA A Outfield
 • FA Advanced Youth Award
