About The Role

JOB PURPOSE

To take responsibility of a section of a kitchen on matchdays and non-matchdays, ensuring a high-quality food offering for hospitality guests, as well as the first team and academy.

The post holder will carry out food preparation and food production duties. They will also be responsible for maintaining and managing the highest levels of health & safety, & hygiene standards and ensuring that the Food Safety Management is to the highest standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the senior chefs to ensure a high standard of food delivery at all times.
  • Supporting the senior chefs to set an example for casual chefs and give direction and support where necessary.
  • To ensure a high-quality food offering in a hospitality area on matchday by taking responsibility for a section.
  • Produce nutritious food for players according to the standards set by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
  • To assist with conferences, executive dining events and other special functions, providing a high standard of catering in terms of food quality and presentation.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout kitchen areas at all times.
  • Attend all essential team meetings and training sessions.
  • Undertake general cleaning duties of all areas in the department as required.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used in a safe and proper manner and report any faults to the Head Chef.

Special Features:

  • Whilst the Club is an equal opportunities employer, please note that this role requires a level of fitness suitable for being on your feet during matches/events; lifting and carrying of food and beverage items and equipment whilst organising facilities for events.
  • Carry out any other additional duties commensurate with the role.

  • This role will require a DBS check
  • In roles working with or serving alcohol, we can only accept candidates aged 18 or over

About The Candidate

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Relevant catering qualifications
  • Food Hygiene Level 2
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in catering

  • Strong sense of responsibility and being able to organise well
  • Must be courteous and focused in providing a consistently excellent/high standard of customer service.

  • Possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and be a team player.
