About The Role
  • Help drive Sunderland AFC’s overall fan engagement strategy by creating compelling, entertaining and informative video content.
  • Capture and edit video content for the Club’s digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Proactively lead the day-to-day creation of short-form and vertical video content to capture moments and trends,continuously bench marking and measuring performance.
  • Conceptualise, develop, and execute innovative content ideas that resonate with the Club's diverse fanbase, ranging from match highlights, interviews, mini-documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, and other engaging content.
  • Capture and edit video content in a matchday environment, always adapting to a fast pace of play and identifying new opportunities on and off the field.
  • Be an industry expert by staying informed of technological developments and audience trends to best inform the Club’s video production strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider content team to help deliver content and projects to tight deadlines.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of weekly, monthly, and seasonal content plans that ensure all opportunities are maximised.
  • Work with other creative partners – internal and external – to create campaigns and capture content.
About The Candidate

Essential:

  • Experience of video creation for digital media platforms
  • Advance editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • A good understanding of mirrorless/Sony FX3/FX6 cameras or equivalents
  • A strong understanding of social media and how video is best used on each platform
  • Excellent communication and creative skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail

    Desirable:

  • Previous experience working within professional sport, preferably football
  • Educated to degree level in video production or similar
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and experience of working with motion graphics
  • Full UK Driving Licence and use of a vehicle
