About The Role
  • Monitor and report on individual goalkeeper development through LOFC ILP’s and reviews and entry of data into kitman labs.
  • Involvement in individual Physical development of goalkeepers across all three phases.
  • Undertake all Coaching aspects as detailed within the ILP of the players.
  • Develop and deliver the coaching syllabus across phases ensuring this is a flexible approach to meet the needs of the player.
  • Where appropriate lead an assistant goalkeeper coach ensuring continuity of training programmes through the age groups.
  • Monitor the transition of players from the Foundation Phase to the Professional Development Phase and players into potential First Team players.
  • To integrate with all Academy department staff to deliver a holistic development programme for all players.
  • Assist the Head of Coaching, Head of Goalkeeping and lead Phase coaches in the preparation of the Coaches CPD training programmes relevant to Goalkeeping and the principles of play.
  • Undertake enhancement of specific personal Qualifications and all CPD provided by the Club and regulatory bodies.
  • In collaboration with the Head of Goalkeeping develop and implement a fully comprehensive, age specific goalkeeping syllabus for the Foundation, Youth Development and Professional Development Phases. 
  •  Take part in our Coach Competency Framework (CCF) to monitor and evaluate your coaching to develop a DAP.
  • Take part in Design and delivery of your development interventions based on the Academy coaching philosophy.
 
About The Candidate
Essential:
- UEFA B Licence GK Award
- UEFA B Licence Outfield Award
- FA Youth Module 3 (Assessed)
- EFAIF
- DBS Check
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the role and the position.
- Experience working across academy age groups.
- Experience working with young professional players.
- IT skills to include the ability to use KitMan Labs software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
- Reliable
- A Team Player
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Hardworking and Enthusiastic
- Loyal and Committed.
- Ability to Adapt to changing circumstances. 
 
Desirable:
- Experience of scouting and talent ID processes and procedures.
- Understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan. 
- UEFA A License Outfield or GK
- FA Advanced Youth Award (GK)
- Graduate Level Qualification in a relevant subject.
