About The Role

Hull City Football Club are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team and support the delivery of effective, compliant and commercially focused procurement activity across the Club.

 

Position Type: Permanent, Full time

Hours: 37.5 per week (full time) / ADD PT HOURS

Location: MKM Stadium, Hull HU3 6HU

Closing Date: 11th September 2026

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Deliver end-to-end procurement activities, from initial requirements through to purchase order, contract award and supplier implementation.
  • Work closely with operational stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide commercial procurement support.
  • Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations and tenders in accordance with Club procurement policies.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, commercial analysis and benchmarking to ensure best value for money.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and service agreements with suppliers.
  • Support the management of supplier contracts, including monitoring key dates, renewals and supplier performance.
  • Support supplier onboarding and due diligence, and maintain the approved supplier database.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders through the Club's procurement system.
  • Monitor operational spend and identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure a robust audit trail for all procurement activity.
  • Ensure procurement activity complies with Club policies, governance requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance and other departments to improve procurement processes and increase contract compliance.
  • Support the Head of Procurement with wider procurement initiatives and strategic projects.

About The Candidate

  • Previous experience working within a procurement role.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret spend and supplier data.
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using ERP and/or purchase order systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to self-improvement and personal development.
  • Willingness to follow and promote the Club's goals and vision.
  • Ability to represent Superstadium Management Company Ltd in a professional manner at all times.
  • Qualifications: Relevant procurement qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a procurement environment, including supplier management, sourcing, commercial analysis and purchase-to-order processes.
