About The Role

Purpose of the post:

Successful implementation of the Player Performance Plan with specific focus on the technical and tactical programmes to ensure that players within the programme are able to reach their potential.

Positively work within the multi-disciplinary team to best support the junior programme to effectively support the growth and development of the female team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop an elite environment for the progression and development of young female footballers, promoting the club’s philosophy, vision and culture at all times.
  • Adopt a multi-disciplinary approach and communication to ensure the well-being and holistic development of the ETC players.
  • Prepare, deliver and recording of the coaching programme, including all coaching sessions in relation to the technical and individual player development syllabus. This should be aligned to the first-team philosophy.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the achievement of performance targets and progress, providing initial line management to part-time coaches within the ETC programme.
  • Support and oversee the management of each player by identifying and implementing long, medium and short-term goals.
  • Managing the transition of players that play and train between phases and teams, along with progression through the age groups.
  • Conduct reviews with all U18 players with a multi-disciplinary approach, working closely with medical, sports science, analysis and education departments.
  • Support the board, managing, supervision and development of the coaching staff, taking whatever steps are necessary to maintain the highest professional standards at all times.
  • Provide regular updates on all coaching activity and player progress to the board.
  • Alongside the senior members of the Club Doncaster team, organise and take part in continued professional development events for full and part-time coaches across the group.
  • Ensure all administration work is complete accurately and within the time scale in conjunction with the ETC Centre Manager, ensuring all part-time staff do likewise.
  • Build relationships/partnerships that will enhance the group and club.
  • Ensure all six week reviews are completed for the allocated age groups.
  • Take active role in ensuring that all aspects of player’s lives are in accordance to safeguarding and welfare policies.
  • Maintain UEFA Qualifications and Emergency First Aid Qualification.
  • Work closely with the FA Club Support Officer.
  • Organise additional fixtures, where appropriate, for the development of the players.
  • Ensure safeguarding standards are met and maintained.
  • Keep own knowledge and skills up-to-date.
  • Encourage good practice by promoting and championing the safeguarding policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Active participation in continued professional development.
  • Devote full attention and ability to fulfilment of the duties required by the role.
  •  Work closely, maintain good relationships and collaborative working practices.
