MSc Academy Performance Analyst (Placement)

Job purpose 

Lincoln City F.C. are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented MSc Performance Analysis student to lead the Academy Performance Analysis department as a placement student. 

This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a professional football academy environment, leading the delivery of performance analysis processes across the senior academy age groups. The successful candidate will work closely with coaching staff and multidisciplinary practitioners to assist with the capture, coding, analysis, and presentation of performance data to support player development and team performance. 

The placement is designed to provide practical industry experience alongside academic study. 

Key responsibilities 

• • Support the filming and live capture of academy training sessions and matches
  • Assist with coding and analysis workflows using industry-standard analysis software
  •  Produce post-match and post-training clips for coaches and players
  • Help maintain and organise performance analysis databases and video libraries
  •  Assist with the preparation of individual player reviews and development resources
  •  Contribute to opposition analysis where required
  • Support the delivery of analysis feedback sessions to players and coaches
  •  Ensure all equipment is maintained, prepared, and operational for training and matchdays
  •  Contribute positively to the culture and values of the Academy programme
  • Complete additional departmental tasks as directed by the Head of Performance Analysis
