About The Role

Overview of the role

 

Working as part of the Social Inclusion Team, the role will Coordinate Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation’s Premier League Kicks Programme.


The role will coordinate the planning and delivery of a high-quality, engaging and supportive Premier League Kicks programme for young people aged 8–18. This includes supporting and developing coaches and youth workers, quality assuring delivery across all sessions and venues, and collaborating with partner agencies to ensure a safe, inclusive and consistent offer that meets local need, achieves programme outcomes and delivers against agreed KPIs.

Job Description

 

  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of the Premier League Kicks Programme including developing and rolling out a delivery plan to meet local needs.
  • Build strong relationships with a range of local and national partners.
  • Deliver the Premier League Kicks Programme to the highest possible standard, ensuring young people receive an excellent experience.
  • Deliver sport and physical activity sessions and other related activities (e.g. workshops, social action, competitions, player visits) in line with the delivery plan.
  • Promote an inclusive approach to youth engagement, providing opportunities for all young people to engage.
  • Quality assures the provision/services delivered.
  • To undertake appropriate administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of projects.
  • Manage, develop, and supervise a cohort of coaches and related staff.
  • Develop a knowledge of all opportunities for young people in the community and signpost accordingly.
  • Manage programme budget with support from the Social Inclusion Manager.
  • Ensure all programme data collection, monitoring and evaluation of the programme is completed to a high standard and within identified deadlines.
  • Working with the Data and Impact Coordinator, review and analyse data and outcomes to ensure delivery is on track and to best communicate the impact including leading on regular data collection, monitoring and evaluation of all delivery, completing monitoring reports to a high standard and within identified deadlines. Follow and embed GDPR requirements across the programme and staff.
  • Complete all Premier League Kicks monitoring reports and report on progress against KPIs.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, including adapting resources and engagements to ensure equal opportunities for all.
  • Consult with the Designated Safeguarding Officer to understand and support the complex safeguarding and risk requirements of delivery. 
  • Consult with the Health and Safety Officer to understand and support the health and safety needs and risk assessments of delivery.
  • Promote the vision, mission and core values of Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation.

Qualifications

  • A good standard of general education including high level literacy and numeracy skills
  • Level 2/3 Youth Work Qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Level 1 or above Sports Coaching Qualification from a recognised National Governing Body (e.g. FA Introduction to Football/UEFA C Licence) or willingness to work towards
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid Certificate or willing to work towards
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate or willing to work towards
  • Trauma-Informed Practice Training or willingness to work towards
  • FA Safeguarding Children Course or willingness to work towards
  • Creating Safe Spaces Training
  • Level 2 Team Leader or equivalent

 

Specific Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding
  • Ability to form strong and effective working relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt to a range of audiences
  • Ability to work creatively, brining ideas to life
  • Knowledge of Premier League Kicks

Additional Requirements

  • A flexible approach to working hours to include evening and weekend work and ability to work/visit a variety of locations other than immediate workplace on a regular basis
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the Tees Valley
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • A satisfactory enhanced DBS check will need to be completed
  • A valid driving licence, with access to own transport including business insurance and willingness to travel regularly within the Tees Valley
