About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Identify, scout, and track promising players aged 17–20 across academy, professional, and non‑league environments.
  • Build a deep understanding of emerging talent trends, standout individuals, and key development environments.
  • Produce clear, insightful reports on targeted players to support recruitment decisions.
  • Recommend the best clubs, leagues, and managers to support the development of our players on loan.
  • Build strong relationships with partner clubs, loan managers, and coaches.
  • Monitor the progress of players out on loan, ensuring they receive the right support throughout their placement.
  • Provide regular updates to internal staff, including recruitment and coaching teams.
  • This is a flexible / hybrid working vacancy.

 

About The Candidate

This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves identifying potential, building relationships, and helping young footballers take the next step in their journey. You will play a key part in finding talented players aged 17–20 and supporting the loan pathways for our own emerging prospects.

Personal Specification

  • FA Talent Identification Level 2
  • Proven experience of scouting/coaching within the EFL, National League or working within a EPPP environment
  • Awareness of relevant Government, FIFA, UEFA, and FA regulations relating to player recruitment and registration
  • Strong professional networks and industry contacts
  • Proactive, with strong initiative with the ability and self-motivation to create and follow your schedule independently
  • Excellent understanding of technical, tactical, and physical development principles for younger players
  • Demonstrable experience of using scouting and analysis systems such as HUDL, Opta Pro Hub, Wyscout and Statsbomb
  • IT literate with a fast and efficient learning ability
  • Able to contextualise observations to make accurate and relevant assessments and comparisons
  • Ability to work flexibly, including availability to work evenings, weekends and matchdays
  • Willing to travel nationally where required
  • Full, UK Driving Licence with access to own vehicle
  • Up-to-date DBS check
