About The Role

We are looking for an experienced credit controller to take ownership of a portfolio of around 200 active customer accounts split over three Clubs. This is a relationship-led credit control role where you will drive the consistent cash collection while protecting account relationships, working closely with our sales and commercial teams to resolve queries and keep accounts on track. 
 
You will be trust to spot risk early, influence internally, and prevent debt from escalating. 
 
Additionally, you will be:
  • Own an account ledger, driving timely payment and maintaining strong account relationships. 
  • Monitor ledger performance (DSO, aged debt, dispute volumes) and take proactive action.
  • Manage and resolve billing queries/disputes, working across internal teams to remove blockers to payment to payment. 
  • Process and allocate payments (including card and cheque) accurately. 
  • Maintain clear, accurate notes and records in CRM/systems. 
  • Flag risks early and agree practical next steps with internal stakeholders and customers. 
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Active participation in continuing professional development.
  • Act at all times with utmost good faith to the club(s) and company.
  • Devote full attention and ability to fulfilment of the duties required by the role.
  • To work closely with fellow staff, maintain good relationships, and collaborative working practices.
  • To work with colleagues throughout Club Doncaster to extend knowledge and skills in order to identify and develop best practice.
  • To undertake other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.
  • To maintain the quality of service provision, regularly evaluating work and seeking to make improvements.
  • Present a professional image when dealing with both internal and external contacts and partners, acting in a professional manner at all times.
