About The Role

Here at West Bromwich Albion Football Club we have an exciting opportunity to join our Academy as Lead Pre-Academy Coach. 
 
The main purpose of this role is to work as part of a team in the design and delivery of the Pre-Academy Coaching program. working alongside the Lead Foundation Phase coach, Academy Manager and Head of Coaching. Taking a holistic approach to improve the player development of Pre-academy age players to progress them into the Foundation Phase Development program.
 
You will need to link with the Lead Foundation Phase coach, Academy Manager, Head of Coaching and other Development Phase coaches in the delivery of the program and individual players learning outcomes - providing a variety of fun games and life experiences allowing players to fall in love with Football and other elements in the formative years.
 
This is a full time role which includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required and in line with business needs.

Person Specification 
Essential Criteria
  • UEFA B
  • FA Safeguarding
  • FA Level 2 EFAIF Certificate
  • Prior experience of working with Pre Academy football.
  • Experience of Elite player development.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to workload
  • Confidential and diplomatic
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
  • Full driving license
  • Right to Work in the UK
Desirable Criteria 
  • Advanced Youth Award
