About The Role

The role is to provide Wrexham AFC Women with a best in class performance analysis programme. This programme will aim to enhance the teams overall performance, aid individual player development, improve efficiency and player learning that places emphasis on the clubs playing philosophy. This is an opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and driven individual who can work collaboratively and possesses excellent analytical and technical skills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside Women and U19 coaching staff to develop and evolve the playing philosophy of the club.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis and presentation of technical and tactical data to inform coaching decisions, game preparation and performance reviews.
  • Create detailed opposition profiles to present to staff and players, identifying trends and utilising data and video clips.
  • Utilise live data insights to identify key trends and advise on tactical adjustments in game, providing clips for half time feedback.
  • Objectively review player and team performance within the match and training sessions in collaboration with coaching staff. Emphasis on monitoring team and individual performance throughout the season.
  • Complete match reviews working with the technical staff to present objective data and video to support player learning - including the provision of individual clips for players.
  • Deliver formal feedback sessions to coaches and players as individuals, units or whole team utilising video and data.
  • Work effectively as part of the MDT, supporting the progression of the women’s department with a high performance culture.
  • Capture training content, collate, analyse and share data and video to provide insights into player and team development.
  • Compile insights and contribute to profiles for recruitment targets, as part of the wider team development.
  • Provide support and development activities to interns and junior analysts, ensuring consistent messages are filtered through the academy supporting the progression of the player pathway.
  • Share information with key partners, such as national coaches to support selection for national teams and/or individual player development.
  • Attend mandatory Club and FAW training and development opportunities.

About The Candidate

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • BSc (Hons) Performance Analysis or equivalent
  • Previous experience in elite football environment (desirable)
  • MSc Performance Analysis or equivalent
  • Experience working in women’s and girls’ sport
  • Talent ID qualifications

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION – SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Experience of analysing individual and team sports training / performance pre and post matches / training.
  • Proficient in the use of scouting and data platforms and software such as Wyscout, HUDL Sportscode.
  • Excellent understanding of technical and tactical trends in the women’s game.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with players, MDT and coaches in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work in a high pressurised environment with a flexible approach to working hours and job role.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to set and maintain high personal and professional standards.
  • Evidence of being a strong team player.
  • Ability to display key data visually information to coaches and players
