JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Whaddon Road, Cheltenham, Glos, GL52 5NA; Cheltenham Town FC training venues.
Working Hours & Days:
Varied working hours based on the variability and demands for such role in a professional football. Travel May be required in relation to fixtures; meetings and other events in connection with performance of the duties detailed below.
Main Responsibilities:
Capture and analyse data to assist with the performance outcomes of the team thus providing appropriate reports to management staff.
To assist in and promote the optimal physical preparation of players through the delivery and development of conditioning programmes and physiological analysis.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering a high performance training environment to players and coaches.
Attend all 1st team fixtures.
Key Tasks Of The Role:
Provide a fitness programme which caters for all first team players incorporating both group and individual sessions.
Work with the club medical staff to promote the fitness programme, nutrition, prehab and recovery programmes among all players.
Ensure health and safety is to the highest standard and that players are advised on the effective and safe use of all equipment.
Take responsibility for the maintenance, repair and security of fitness equipment.
To liaise with the first team sports therapist and club doctor in terms of the club-wide medical function.
Devise individual programmes as and when required to ensure all players maximise their performance.
Maintain personal qualifications to the levels required for the role.
Deliver reports / data to other departments as necessary.
Attend departmental meetings to feedback on progress and plan/discuss future work developments.
Develop appropriate communication methods to inform and educate players.
Promotion of recovery after training and competition.
Such other duties may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post and to assist the Technical Board in the fulfilment of its objectives.
