About The Role

Role Purpose
To achieve the sales targets as outlined by the Head of Sales, with a primary focus on maximising profitability and occupancy of the Premier Suite and ensuring the highest standards of the client journey are achieved.  Additionally, the role will provide support to the wider team in managing all other enquiries to ensure a cohesive and effective sales operation.
 
Main areas of responsibility
  • To handle all incoming enquiries in accordance with company standards, primarily for the Premier Suite, however, to take general enquiries as and when required depending on business needs and as requested by your line manager.
  • Maximise sales at every available opportunity, paying particular attention to Premier Suite enquiries.
  • To actively take the initiative in creating and carrying out sales strategies for the Premier Suite, communicating at and contributing to the weekly strategy meeting.
  • Build strong client relationships to ensure repeat business.
  •  
  • Complete show rounds in a professional manner, gaining the most from the clients visit.
  • Proactively chase all lost and cancelled business.
  • Convert tentative bookings/enquiries to contracted stage, working to ensure zero fall out of existing business.
  • Ensure post event calls are made to all clients.
  • Have full and up-to-date knowledge of the Venue products and services.
  • To work closely with the Hotel Reservations team to manage all conference and banqueting bedrooms and rates.
  • Handle customer comments, including complaints, promptly and professionally, demonstrating genuine care and concern under the guidance of your line manager.
  • To co-operate and communicate with all colleagues and managers to ensure effective departmental teamwork and high morale.
  • To ensure full maximisation of opportunities on sales conversion days.
  • To complete daily tasks to monitor all enquiries and track conversions each day.
General Responsibilities

  • Qualification in a hospitality related field.
Experience
  • iVvy training is preferred, however, full training will be provided.
  • Previous experience in a large scale venue.
