About The Role

JOB PURPOSE

Working in STōK Cae Ras on match days and events, you’ll be reporting into the Head Chef (or their delegate); carrying out food preparation and food production duties.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To help with the delivery of food, ensuring that provisions are checked and stored correctly and to assist the supervisors in monthly stock-taking activities.
  • To make sure that the kitchen and services areas are kept clean, hygienic, and free from debris.
  • To undertake food preparation of food to standard recipes as directed by the Head Chef.
  • To ensure food is transferred, displayed, and held in the service areas as per the standard operating procedures and to inform supervisors as to the required standard with regards to presentation, portion control and service methods to be used.
  • To make sure all kitchens are stocked with all cleaning products day to day.
  • To make sure all kitchens on site are always clean and in a professional and working environment.
  • To ensure kitchen bins are emptied daily across the site.
  • To take in daily deliveries and log temperatures for the kitchen team.
  • To help distribute stock around the stadium to ensure match day and events have all food/equipment needed.
  • To lead deep cleans in the kitchen once a month.
  • To make sure all crockery, utensils and equipment is clean and stored correctly at the end of the day.
  • To be able to manage and give guidance to casual and agency kitchen porters.
  • To ensure that the site is kept safe and free from danger with deliveries, for example trolly’s stored correctly, cages given back to suppliers on receipt of goods, where using crates these are Neatly stacked away with no harm to staff of customers.
  • To be prepared to help doing other duties within the department as requested by Head Chef
  • To liaise with other chefs to ensure effective communication is established and maintained and contribute to ideas or ways of improving the catering services which will increase customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • To be prepared to be flexible in hours worked, given prior notice, to assist with out of hour events/ functions/ conferences etc.
  • To be polite, pleasant, and friendly with colleagues and to be prepared to assist the team in a positive and willing manner.
  • To undertake general cleaning duties of all areas in the department as required.
  • To ensure that all equipment is used in a safe and proper manner and report any faults to the Stadium Operations Manager
  • To ensure all cleaning schedules are maintained to the required level and that cleaning work is recorded accordingly.
  • Whilst the Club is an equal opportunities employer, please note that this role requires a level of fitness suitable for being on your feet during matches/events, lifting and carrying of food and beverage items and equipment whilst organising facilities for events.
  • Any other duties as requested.

  • Take responsibility and care for the health and safety of yourself and other employees and members of the public who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
  • To comply with all aspects of the Club’s Health & Safety Policy and arrangements, to enable the company to perform its civil and statutory obligations in relation to Health & Safety.
  • To ensure that all Health and Safety, COSHH and Hygiene Regulations are adhered to.
  • To make sure you meet the company requirement for fire, safety, health, and hygiene.
  • To look out for problems with safety or hygiene and report them to supervisors.
About The Candidate

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

 

  • Previous experience of working within a busy hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen.
  • Proven track record of producing quality food and catering for large numbers.
  • Catering Qualifications i.e., City & Guilds Catering/ NVQ Level 1.
  • IT literate.
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
