As an Academy Player Support Officer, you will provide a holistic approach to personal development, supporting players in managing their wellbeing, transitions, and overall journey with the Club. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Academy to ensure every player is given the best possible care and support.
You will be a proactive and innovative thinker with the ability to build strong relationships, whilst being resilient and delivering to the highest standards in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Academy Player Support in developing and implementing the Academy’s Player Support strategy.
- Monitor the wellbeing of Academy players, ensuring their mental and emotional welfare is a priority.
- Provide ongoing support through various transitions, such as recruitment, onboarding, education, injury management, and career progression.
- Engage with players and their families to ensure tailored support is provided throughout their Academy journey.
- Collaborate with the Education, Safeguarding, Psychology, and Player Support multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Lead and support the Induction, Transition, and Exit strategy, and support players on loan.
- Promote safeguarding and welfare initiatives, working closely with the Academy Safeguarding team.
- Oversee Parent and Player voice initiatives, ensuring players and parents have a say in their experience at the Academy.
- Be a visible and approachable presence for both players and parents.
