About The Role

The Role of the Commercial Operations Executive

Accrington Stanley FC has an exciting opportunity for a CommercialOperations Executive. The Commercial Operations Executive will work with theCommercial Manager to provide material support in the planning, securing anddelivery of various commercial commitments and obligations relating to our seniorclub executives.

The successful candidate will work with both Off-Field and On-Fielddepartments to ensure that all appearances are delivered in a way that ensuresthat all relevant stakeholders have a positive experience. In addition, theywill also assist with the planning and delivery of matchday hospitality andclub events. The Commercial Operations Executive will also obtain and deliversigned merchandise requests when required.

Main Accountabilities

Commercial

  • Secure new business clients, partners and sponsors and develop relationships to maximise revenue potential.
  • Develop strategies to maximise match ticket and season ticket sales
  • Always maximise margin opportunities.
  • Handle Inbound Sales calls
  • Administrate commercial activity effectively

Social Media

  • To ensure the continuity of effective social media by creating content on a weekly basis
  • To actively provide content to our Social Media partner to actively sell the products and services provided by the club.
  • Become a brand influencer and always ensure continuity via social media channels
  • To report issues or problems encountered across our social media platform
  • Report Social media performance at the monthly sales meeting.

Hospitality

  • Attend home matchday hospitality within the Venue areas of the ground where required
  • Communicate/engage effectively with hospitality clients who are attending the game and promote next game opportunities.
  • Ensure guest receive the very best in service at all times.
  • Actively promote/sell commercial opportunities to hospitality guests
  • Prepare matchday prizes and sell scratchcard & quick profit offers

Merchandising

  • Assist in the shop when required and advise on new product, physical and online ranges.
  • Analyse customer spending trends to maximise sales opportunities.

Corporate relations

  • Liaise with fellow EFL club commercial teams to discuss best practice and success to date.
 
About The Candidate

Person Specification 

Essential Characteristics

  • Previous experience of working within a commercial environment
  • Previous experience of planning, organising and delivering events
  • Understanding of the football landscape, particularly the importance of the delivery of obligations for Off-Field departments
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, pressurised, and dynamic environment.
  • Organisation skills and the ability to organise others
  • Able to work unsociable hours including weekends and evenings if required
