About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Academy Performance Analysis, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing analysis support to all phases of the Academy with a particular focus on the Professional Development Phase
To assist in the development of all Academy Performance Analysis interns to provide the Academy Performance Analysis Programme in line with the club’s strategic objectives and EPPP
 
General Description
  • To assist the Head of Academy Performance Analysis in developing the Academy’s Performance Analysis department in line with the Club’s strategic objectives and EPPP regulations
  • Assist in the management of master databases, both video (subjective) and statistical (objective)
  • Implement and develop the process of capturing performance across all phases of the Academy
  • Produce and report opposition analysis to coaches and players, with a particular focus on the Professional Development Phase.
  • Develop and maintain a framework for Post-Match analysis across all phases of the Academy 
  • Ensure individual clips are available
  • Assist in regulating and managing PMA/Football Intelligence Platform and other online Performance Analysis platforms
  • Contribute to ongoing player and staff development
  • To undertake CPD organised by the club and other providers
  • Work alongside the Academy Recruitment department to source video footage of potential signings
  • Any additional duties as requested by Academy Management
About The Candidate
Qualifications
  • Sports related degree (essential)
  • MSc or Mres in Performance Analysis (desirable)
  • FA Coaching Award (desirable)
  •  FA Talent ID qualification (desirable)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  •  Good team player
  • Excellent written skills
  •  Proactive attitude within the role
  •  Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  •  Quality focus – takes responsibility for ensuring high quality of work
  •  Drive and energy – demonstrates enthusiasm and is personally committed to achieving objectives set
  •  Self-development – is receptive to feedback about own behaviour, strengths and areas for improvement
  •  A high level of football knowledge 
  •  IT literate – has very good IT skills/video editing skills
  •  Efficient is using performance analysis systems such as Sportscode and Wyscout.
  •  Able to develop and maintain strong working relationships
  •  Creative presentation skills
  •  Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills and experience
  •  Previous experience in a football environment (player/coach/analyst) is desirable
  •  Extensive knowledge of working in an Academy structure and EPPP rules and regulations
