About The Role
ACADEMY AGE GROUP COACH U9-U14

Plymouth Argyle Academy are looking for part-time coaches to join our Academy coaching department in the Foundation Phase (FP) and Youth Development Phase (YDP). This is an important role coaching our Academy Players at the start of their Academy journey. It is critical that the successful applicant understands player development as well as assisting the club’s aim of developing more home-grown players into the first team. 
*Coaches must have completed their UEFA B License & FA Youth Award*
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To plan, deliver and review all coaching sessions and fixtures for the U9-U14 age group in line with the club’s coaching syllabus.
  • To design and implement Individual Development Plans for all Academy players in the U9-U14 age-groups as well as ensuring that players receive a Performance Review every 6-12 weeks under the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) guidelines.
  • To ensure the effective use of the Performance Management Application (PMA), Performance Clocks and Audit Tool, including ensuring that all relevant data is recorded for the U9-U14 age-groups.
  • To liaise closely with the recruitment and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to identify and monitor incoming trialists, as well as identify areas of need within each age group.
  • To integrate into the Academy coaching team and building positive relationship with Academy staff, players and parents.
  • Attend all club coaching Continuous Professional Development events and external training courses as set out in under the EPPP guidelines.
 
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • UEFA B License
  • FA Youth Award
  • FA Safeguarding Workshop
  • FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)  (Or be available to attend the EFAiF course on Sunday 19th January at Home Park)
