About The Role

The Trust is seeking an experienced and passionate individual who has a strong track record in implementing Safeguarding, EDI and Environmental standards and will work with both Club and Trust in delivering on all as well EFL and Premier League governance and operational standards.

Job Purpose


To be responsible for leading, developing, delivering, maintaining and improving standards in the following areas:

Safeguarding
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Sustainability

Employed by Leyton Orient Trust
Managing day to day by: Trust CEO and Club COO
Overseen by: Club and Trust CEO’s 

Job Responsibilities
Ensuring full compliance with EFL standards and codes of practice including Safeguarding, EDI Code of Practice, Green Code and for the Trust the Capability Code of Practice
Being main point of contact with EFL and other related Football and statutory bodies
Leading on all audits, reviews and attend all meetings and conferences
Collating, collecting and analysing all relevant data and information including compiling and running surveys with internal and external audiences
Developing a steering group for each theme – both internal and external where appropriate
Developing action and delivery plans and monitor performance and compliance
Reporting to Senior Staff, respective Boards and related bodies
Developing comprehensive training and support for all staff in all areas of responsibility
Collaborating with other EFL and PL clubs and sharing and learning from best practice 
Producing reports for internal and external usage
Promoting successes through all platforms


Understanding the values and strategic direction of LOFC in particular in reference to being a community club and the mission statement and core values of Leyton Orient Trust
Dovetailing work plan and programme with that of all Trust and Club areas of operation and ensuring strategic and operational fit with Club plans 
Being an integral part of wider campaigns and initiatives to promote the Club to key stakeholders
Working with Communications to maximize publicity and promotion including providing social media and written reports for usage in match day programme on progress made on standards

About The Club

Leyton Orient is a thriving community focused professional Football Club based in Leyton. The club has Men and Women First and youth teams, Boys Academy and special purpose Registered Charity which helps improve life chances.

● Mental Health Teenage Well Being Advantage programme in partnership with NELFT, 
West Ham and Arsenal
● Weight loss and social interaction programmes such as Fit Fans with EFL Trust and
