This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead, develop and deliver a comprehensive player care programme in support of our Academy players.
The successful applicant will be an integral part of the Academy Team and contribute to the progression of the Youth Development Programme. They will act as the lead point of contact for all welfare, wellbeing, and player care matters across the Academy Programme and support the holistic development of players, families and staff.
Key Responsibilities include:
-Developing and implementing a Player Care programme for all players across the three phases of the Academy to provide the highest level of care, support and development so they can maximise their potential both on and off the pitch.
-To take lead responsibility for ensuring the core KPI’s of EPPP are effectively measured, assessed and achieved in line with the audit process.
-Oversee the implementation of a player induction process for newly registered players into the Academy as well as supporting existing players who progress through the pathway to support their integration within the Academy.
-The creation and delivery of an effective life skills/personal development programme for Academy players from U9 – U19.
-Provide effective wellbeing support around release, along with a three year follow up care programme as part of the strategy.
-Work proactively with players, families, and staff members to identify those who need support.
-Create an Academy alumni to return and speak to current players on their successes and challenges both in and out of the game.
-Attend and actively participate in in-house and stakeholder meetings on all aspects -of Player Care and Wellbeing.
-Contribute positively to the wider Academy culture and the audit processes it is subject to.
-Receive regular feedback from the players and parents within the Academy, and work with the relevant management to review processes and procedures when needed.
-Arrange relevant training with external providers for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion training across all age groups, parents, and staff.
-Arrange relevant mental health and wellbeing training for all Academy age groups, parents, and staff.
-Liaise with all schools along with the Head of Education and Designated Safeguarding Officer to provide a 360-degree network of support for the child/young person.
