About The Role

To recruit a competent person with a maintenance / facilities background and an awareness of event safety who can be developed to gain a full understanding of the roles required to prepare the stadium and be developed to gain qualifications in health and safety etc.

Their primary role will be to assist the Safety and Operations Team in preparing the stadium for event days, undertake maintenance and general repairs to ensure the stadium is safe for events, assist with safety administration and reporting, providing relevant to support the Head of Safety and Operations as required. 

This may include assisting with operations at the training ground when required.

Main Duties / Responsibilities
  • To assist the Matchday Operations Manager in the preparation of the stadium for events and to ensure all equipment and resources necessary for matchdays are checked, in place and serviceable
  • To assist the Safety Officer with the management of safety and security operations around the stadium and to ensure compliance with all relevant certification
  • To conduct routine safety inspections and manage safety and operational maintenance and repairs around the stadium not provided by the stadium company
  • To assist the Safety Officer and Matchday Operations Manager to conduct all relevant pre-match inspections and ensure reports and documentation are submitted to the relevant stakeholders.
  • To assist with general maintenance and preparation of the stadium and surrounds to ensure compliance with match
  • To liaise with key stakeholders and partners including the Safety Advisory Group and the stadium management to ensure compliance with all licensing and safety certificate requirements
  • To liaise with security and stewarding contractors to ensure the provision of appropriate levels of stewarding for matchday, to conduct inspections on stewarding numbers and qualifications and to report back to the Safety Officer any deviation.
  • To assist with invoicing and relevant reporting to the Head of Safety Operations
  • To assist with administrative tasks ensure compliance with safety certification and all statutory licensing requirements
  • To facilitate contractor movement and working on site ensuring all health and safety inductions and requirements are complied with.
  • To proactively assist with and promote the safety and security of the stadium and to ensure compliance with the licensing conditions of the Kassam Stadium
  • To be available to respond to and manage safety incidents on matchday
  • To provide cover during periods of annual leave to answer enquiries and address issues on behalf of the Head of Match Day Operations
  • To conduct any other work or deployments as required by the Head of Operations to assist the Head of Matchday Operations at the Kassam Stadium or Facilities Manager at the training ground.
