About The Role

Cornwall Hub (Bodmin) - Lead Goalkeeping Coach U7-U14

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and inspiring goalkeeping coach to join our Elite Coaching Hubs in Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Level 2 (now UEFA C) goalkeeping coach who are prepared to work towards their UEFA B. Applicants would be required on a Friday evening between 5.30pm-8.30pm. 

*Coaches must have completed their UEFA C / FA Level 2 Coaching License*

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To plan, deliver and review all coaching sessions and fixtures for the Cornwall Hub Goalkeepers in line with the club’s coaching syllabus.
  • To design and implement Individual Development Plans for all Cornwall Hub Goalkeepers as well as ensuring that players receive a Performance Review every 12 weeks.
  • To liaise closely with the Head of Cornwall Recruitment & Development to identify and monitor incoming trialists, as well as identify areas of need within Cornwall Hub Goalkeepers.
  • To integrate into the Academy coaching team and building positive relationship with Academy staff, players and parents.
  • Attend all club coaching Continuous Professional Development events and external training courses as set out in under the EPPP guidelines.
About The Candidate

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • FA Level 2 (UEFA C) Coaching qualification
  • FA Safeguarding workshop
  • FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)
  • Opportunity to work towards UEFA B & FA Youth Award

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience in coaching within a professional football club.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and pressurised environment. 
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Team player with the ability to lead and engage where necessary 
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal/presentation communication skills 
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines 
  • Ability and willingness to work outside of normal hours including evenings and weekends.
